Kofax Extends Global Leadership in the Capture Market with Unveiling of New Batch Scanning Software

Kofax Express Offers an Easy-to-Use Scan-to-Archive Solution for Batch Scanning Applications

BASINGSTOKE, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced the launch of Kofax Express, a state-of-the-art, all-in-one application for batch scanning applications. Extending Kofax’s global leadership in the capture market, Kofax Express offers the world’s most advanced scan-to-archive application that is fast, easy-to-use and provides basic document capture capabilities.

Built on the Microsoft Office 2007 user experience, Kofax Express provides basic scanning and indexing functionality, including features such as real-time image viewing, automatic indexing with bar codes, “key from image” data entry capabilities, JPEG, TIFF and PDF output formats and flexible release scripts to Microsoft’s SharePoint and other repositories. The application also includes Kofax’s VirtualReScan (VRS), the de facto standard that dramatically improves image quality, making even damaged or otherwise difficult-to-view documents readable.

Kofax Express provides a highly practical tool for small- and medium-sized organizations to reduce the amount of paper they need to manage, thereby enhancing productivity and significantly lowering operating costs. Unlike Kofax Capture, the market-leading capture application software, which provides high-volume, production-level batch scanning capabilities, Kofax Express is designed for single user, single scanner and basic batch scanning needs typically required by small- and medium-sized businesses.
