A strong team
Founded in 2001 with three employees in a one-room office, pressrelations today has a team of 150 experts in Germany. Thanks to a share of college graduates amounting to over 98% in a variety of academic disciplines in the humanities, economics and natural sciences, unrestrained curiosity and the desire to always provide the best product to our clients, we stand out with a high level of creativity and professionalism.
In the organizational development we pursue the Scrum and Kanban principles in a bid to implement improvements swiftly into our projects. We believe in flat hierarchies, agile working structures and interdisciplinary project work with our development team made up by 15 employees. In addition to our technology-driven approach, one thing is of particular importance to us: Our employees should always get the leeway they need to deliver outstanding results and live up to their aspirations.
Our editors are fluent in 36 languages – many of which as native speakers – and cooperate closely with our customers in international projects.
The colleagues from our editorial office, management, sales, key account management, media procurement, production, and research and development are also organized in international partner networks. Intercultural exchange, insights into global market developments and international cooperation have paved the way to constantly adapt our portfolio to the needs of our clients.
More power and skills
Excellent projects are best served by well-trained and experienced staff. That’s why we are focused on a healthy mix of industry experience, language and communication skills and team spirit when it comes to recruiting new team members.
Back in 2011 and 2014, we integrated full-fledged competence teams. In 2011, pressrelations acquired the Dusseldorf media monitoring and analysis service X-RAY Media GmbH together with its 25 employees and numerous existing customers.
With the takeover of our former cooperation partner Goldmedia Analytics – today renamed preceptor GmbH – pressrelations has reached another milestone in constantly expanding its service portfolio and is present with an own office in Berlin since September 2014. As a consequence of this expansion, the latest methodological techniques in market research and public opinion research have become part of pressrelations’ range of services, as well as research approaches related to communication science, multi-methodology and exploratory analysis of large amounts of data.
Close to the market – and to the team
pressrelations is managed by its owners. With Joachim de Bruin, Jens Schmitz and Fady el-Murr three out of five partners of the limited liability company according to German corporate law (GmbH) hold an executive position at pressrelations and also form part of the company’s founding team. Klaus Ammon joined the shareholders' circle as an external partner in 2015 and remains based in Beckenried near Lucerne, Switzerland. Mr Ammon also has strong ties to pressrelations as a client: In his role as chief partner of Management Tools Media, he and his Switzerland-based company benefit from production software solutions developed by pressrelations.
